 The Power of Black Stories

In The Current Climate of Erasure

You’re invited to share your voice as part of The Power of Black Stories. This project centers real stories, real people, and honest reflections. Submissions are currently being accepted for social media posts and the project website. You may write about one of the suggested topics or share a personal story about your experience living in your own skin.

Your story can be short or reflective, what matters most is that it feels true to you.

Please submit your story using an accessible link from Google Drive, Dropbox, or another third-party service. You’re also welcome to include links to images you’d like considered for use alongside your story.

By the way—you are beautiful.

Regardless of what the world says, you matter.

Topics to consider:

What does it mean to feel comfortable in your own skin?

A moment when you truly saw yourself.

Learning to love your body, your hair, or your reflection.

A time you felt powerful simply by being yourself.

Growing into your identity as a Black person.

A moment of Black joy that still lives with you.
